I have actually had slightly better mpg out of Esso Supreme 99 and Tesco Momentum 99 than Shell V Power. My understanding is the former two contain no ethanol despite the 5% shown to satisfy legislative declarations but V power does. in some parts of the country, mainly the North and far South West Esso Supreme is still 97. I used to only use solely Shell V power. However, as I spend a bit of time in Mid wales with no Shell V power stations. and a few Esso and Tesco's I ended up trying other fuels than Shell and liking the results.

Porsche advice used to be to run on prescribed octane rating but if running on 95 then to avoid heavy engine loading.

Another ill-conceived campaign by the greens. It’s well known that adding ethanol to fuel increases fuel consumption so why is that good for the planet?

Back to the original topic of tank size, I believe the 65 litre tank originated as when they sold a diesel they had to find room for 10 litres of adblue, with a petrol engine this is not required so the option of using this space was to fit the 75 litre tank. I ordered it as a no cost option on my first Macan S and have it on my new GTS.

Makes you wonder why they didn't just fit a 75ltr tank on the petrol in the first place.

My SD had a 75 litre tank as a no-cost option. And the adblue tank was a further 23 litres.

I reckon there's probably a country somewhere in the world that either ban fuel tanks >65 litres or tax them at a higher rate.
