Hi
My dealer seems to have offered a complimentary Swissvax on a 2022 Macan.
I've been very impressed by GTechniq ceramic coatings as they build depth as you re-apply and work well.
I'm assuming that the Swissvax will cause problems for the GT ceramic coating - unless it's professionally stripped off?

Any insights or observations most welcome :-)

On another thread, a GT product called Panel Wash came up. It's designed to clean up panels before GT treatment. Why not accept the "freebie" and go for a ceramic treatment when the current finish deteriorates.

I've got Swissvax thrown is as a freebie but am not sure if I should go with it or do ceramic first and then Swissvax. Does that work?

£50 maybe!? ;)

There’s a reason they’re offering it free of charge.

I’d ask for an alternative ‘freebie’ and get a proper professional to apply the GT. :geek:

Depends how its being applied. A proper job would take days and would not be free.

Does having a ceramic coating on a brand new car affect the Porsche (paint) warranty?

Thanks for the replies.
I've now asked the dealer whether I could substitute GTechniq.
They don't do it themselves - but acknowledge that it's a good product over the longer term.
Apparently the Swissvax and preparation are offered on all new Porsches (at £399)?
I'm advised that the GTechniq can be applied over the Swissvax?

The Swissvax gets some good reviews - so think I'll go with it - and maybe go with GTechniq to protect it before the winter? :-)

^^^ Might be worth seeking the advice of a professional accredited GTechniq installer.

Check online. I used Exclusive Car Care, with whom I have no link. Other forum members on here have used them too.
