I have not seen a recent discussion about insurance for our Macan's and now need your feedback on current trends. For the first two years of ownership I have been insured by NFU Mutual who have been great and I anticipated continuing with them for another year. On average I have paid around 450 pa which was around the number I expected for a 60k SUV however my renewal landed on the mat this morning and for year three they now want 700. Obviously this means it is time to hit the brokers for a better price. Can anyone recommend another insurer who seems to be Porsche friendly?

Thanks
Paul

Jeez, get searching. Hastings direct have quoted me £235 for a new GTS. Did haggle a bit.

Yep, when I searched I was getting prices around the £400 mark, including using it to drive for work. I’ve used DirectLine for years and haven’t asked them for a quote yet. FYI, for a Tesla I was getting quotes of nearly £800! I was only paying about £430 for my Aston!

One consideration, Privilege, a brand of UK Insurance like Direct Line, who I was with last year, give "replacement with new" for two years from new, removes the need for Gap Insurance and worth checking for any new policy.

Clearly NFU have reviewed their risk profile for some customers. My renewal for the 911 has gone up 25% and they’ve added the requirement for a tracker. So it’s goodbye to NFU and hello to Darwin or Saga by renewal time after a trawl of the market.
