The link below was posted on another thread but I thought it made interesting reading in its own right. It is 20 pages long so you need time to spare.

The thread started on 5 August 2020 which just happens to be the same day as I took delivery of my GTS. The poster clearly has a very different driving style to me (and possibly the majority of Macan owners). You can read it out of interest in the car but also for a quite spectacular collection of photographs of the Scottish Highlands.
In the first 12 months ownership of my GTS I only covered 4,000 miles. I've just passed 4,800 after a short holiday break. The projected mileage to oil change and service is a further 15,000 miles so maybe continuous driving in the Scottish Highlands is harder on the car.
The OP thinks that he'd miss the power of the Turbo is he'd opted for a GTS. I find that the GTS is more powerful than any car I've owned previously and creates overtaking opportunities that weren't there in any previous car. I've never been in a situation where I thought "If only I had another 50hp available". Similarly, unlike the OP, I've never felt the need to switch to manual and change down prior to overtaking. If I remember I use "sport response" but otherwise just stamping on the loud pedal means the car leaps forward like the proverbial s***t of a shovel.

There was already a link to that PCGB forum thread in this forums thread here viewtopic.php?f=15&t=11071&start=10 I think the weight and size of the Macan on highland roads was his issue after several Caymans
Interesting with lots of tips about good highland roads and how to do NC500.
I thought he is heading for an Emira to assuming he can beat the waiting list. In the meantime, he is about to acquire a small local runabout to keep long term alongside his sports car replacement having failed to be satisfied a turbo Macan could do both roles.

2019 Macan S Porsche code PKW8WKI8
I followed his ownership journey some time back, agreed some great photos and tips on Scotland’s best roads. He has had a string of Caymans before taking the Macan. If he wants an Emira he will have to have already put his £2k deposit in direct with Lotus or 2022 will be the shortest time he will have to wait. Rather long but all the same, as his reporting
