100% agree.Peteski wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 7:57 pmI'm not surprised. Whatever people might say (usually without any first hand experience), they are amazing cars. Plus there is still very little direct like-for-like competition.OmniCognateSnr wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 6:27 pm Apparently the biggest selling car in Europe last month was the Tesla model 3. Not the biggest selling electric car, the biggest selling car of any kind.

Porsche slow to BEV Macan
said it before and I’ll say it again, if you want an electric car Tesla really are the only players. At the moment everyone else are just also-rans ( or insanely expensive, ugly, crap or all 3 )
Yes - I made sure of it before pulling the trigger.OmniCognateSnr wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 6:40 pmVery wise.drgav2005 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 6:36 pm Thoroughly enjoying my Macan Turbo, having covered 2600+ miles since 1st Sep.
Decided to put a deposit down against the electric Macan today… I normally keep my cars for 2-3 years max, so hopefully this will allow me to choose whether to stay with ICE or make the jump to electric in 2023.
If it’s a no go, I’ll swap it over to the GTS
Is the deposit the usual £3k refundable? I so I may consider the same.

I’d have agreed until yesterday when I stumbled upon a top spec Hyundai ionic 5. Much more interesting looking than the Tesla, looked like it was properly put together too. Good panel gaps, well finished interior. Turns out it was also car of the auto express overall car of the year. Very interesting. Couldn’t see myself buying one but if one was offered to me to a week to test I’d feel intrigued and quite excited. 80% charge in 18 mins on a fast Charger I believe the salesman said. Coffee and a toilet break and you have an extra 250 mile rangeOmniCognateSnr wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 11:39 pmsaid it before and I’ll say it again, if you want an electric car Tesla really are the only players.
