Glad we invested in a cheap EV to run around in, a couple of months ago!

Smug git 🤣

Seriously though, having a Macan and a Tesla seems like quite a good idea just at the moment

I'm now in Cruden Bay, 450 miles covered today and that after a 150 mile round trip last night to a silver wedding bash. That was a dubious use of fuel in the circumstances but athough I failed to find an ESSO top up near the venue on the Wirral managed to do so relatively close to home on the return, only cooking grade sadly but, to be fair, Super has been very scarce since the E10 reformulation announcement. Got another half tank by Glasgow (second station tried) so we're covered till we get that far back on Friday.

The good thing though, the A93 from Perth via Braemar to Aberdeen is FANTASTIC was recommended on the Porsche Club site and exceeded expectations! Took an hour longer than the "fast" route but worth every minute. Trip computer says we got 30.5 might for the day, down from 31.8 before the A93.

P.S. haven't noticed any issue with the cheap stuff, still smooth as silk and as lively as ever.

It will be interesting to see how Porsche price the electric Macan with BMW pricing the iX 40 at just under £70,000 and the iX50 at £91,000 before options. At those sorts of prices I’ll stick with petrol.

Imagine it would have to be more at the top end of pricing given the Macan will be viewed as a more sporting BEV compared to the iX especially if it takes the Turbo tag like the Taycan? Perhaps once they discontinue ICE versions, lower powered offerings will appear more in line pricing wise with BMW, Mercedes etc alternatives.

Thats how I would see it happening. BEV becomes Macan Turbo, then they fade out the base and the S and replace them with slightly less poky versions of the BEV/Turbo.

A bit like the Audi Q4 Etron with different battery sizes 35, 40 and 50 models.
