^^^ That's his pocket money spent for quite some time to come! Having kids does make Porsche ownership sem quite economical, we should be grateful to them!   😭

I bought mine at two years old, but three things I wished I had at the time - spare wheel, winter wheels and Carmine Red paint. I added a spare wheel and bought a set of 20" spyders with winter tyres, that just leaves the paintwork....
June 2017 Macan GTS in Carmine red with 21” gloss black sport classics, GTS leather package, Air, PASM, PDLS+, pano roof, Sports Chrono, 18 way seats, BOSE, surround view, heated seats front and rear, carbon side blades and carbon interior package.

Having it painted Carmine Red (great colour) would still be cheaper than trading in for a new Macan! ;)

Not totally off-topic, as partly Macan-related... ;)

On a wider ‘Porsche’ basis, I wish I had ‘bitten the bullet’ and simply jumped straight in for a new, made to order 911, rather than going around the houses via Macan, pre-owned 911, and Panamera...

So subject to budget, get the best Macan you can afford. That way, you’ll be happier, and keep it longer, saving you £££s in the long run... ;)

Why, on earth, woud anyone even contemplate doing that (outside of very specific life threatening circumstances) ?

As I had full freedom for a March build of a 2019 s and had spent hours on the forum, I got exactly the car I wanted Air sus, 18-way seats, roof bars, black window trim, heat-insulating privacy glass, 18way seats, storage pack, 20 wheels, surround view, sports chrono and pdls plus. I have no options I do not regularly feel the benefit off and none I miss not ordering. If I had been ordering a year later would probably have bought a similarly specced Gen 2 GTS but gain in performance not worth a change in the meantime. Nor does a new Gen 3 S attract me at present over what I already have.

That's hindsight for you Simon. At least you have the experience of both Macan and Panamera ownership.

Indeed, Peter. And all three - Macan, Panamera and 911 are class leaders, in my view :)

Yeah I missed the opportunity to have different colour leather inserts for either free or little extra money. Annoyed me that one as I’m not an all black interior kind of guy!
