Depends on how much you were hooning it. Remember it weighs nearly 2 tons, so if you are stamping on the stop pedal enthusiastically or trying to takes bends at warp speed I would expect that’s just the car trying to dial back some of the afore mentioned enthusiasm.

Try doing the same thing with the traction control turned off. If you end up going through the pearly gates backward in a ball of flame then I suspect the traction control light was just doing its job.

In my experience it’s rare on dry roads to get the traction light on even when driving very hard. What condition are your tyres in? What mode were you in Sport Plus? If so that might account for it

maybe you just aren’t as experienced in the art of hooning as froggyr32.

Perhaps the light came on as a mark of appreciation of froggy32's efforts?

Not normal. If it keeps happening I'd suggest you contact your OPC. If the TC light comes on then the car thinks it has detected wheelspin.

Turning Off the traction control does not actually turn it off, it dials it down.

There is a way to dial it down further but that is best left for an Instructor at the PEC to tell you how in a safe environment.

Hurling a Macan around the PEC with traction control on then with it off as fully as it will go gives a totally different handling Macan and if you have not the skill level then you go off the track in a blink.
