Just to update, Porsche Solihull provided a Boxster T as a loaner and great fun was had in it to boot!

The Macan SD is a great car, but I'd forgotten how unlike a sports car it is.

Reading actually have Porsche fleet cars that aren't even for sale in the showroom so it doesn't look empty!!!

For those looking at alternative routes..

I used Northway near Reading to service my 987S for the last 11 years, after its first two services at OPC - never extended the warranty on that car and it never needed anything bar routine menu services


I asked Ray for prices for my Macan S D..

To carry out the 4 year PDK oil change with filter is £230 plus vat ( in comparison OPC Bristol quoted my £486 for the same.)

The service is £275 plus vat for a minor and £70 plus vat for the brake fluid change

A major service is normally due at 4 years but this only adds a pollen filter and a few more checks. If this is required then the cost is £325 plus vat

All completed with Porsche parts and approved fluids.


I bought my Macan from an independent garage and is covered by WarrantyWise scheme for 3 months - the cost of 2 years warranty with them is ca £1800, so little different to Porsche's own scheme but of course you don't need the OPC servicing and anality of using only Porsche batteries, wiper blades and air fresheners.
