Consistent with what I understand OPC's on the South Coast are charging currently for 2 year service

Portsmouth OPC charged me £765 for the 4 year major service including a brake fluid change a few months ago so, yes, you probably did pay more than necessary. Pays to shop around and agree the specific work and price in writing.

jk88, did you decline the water drain check and ‘odour & allergen’ item? :geek:

Definitely to shop around. I live in Sheffield, who wanted to charge me £250 for a Sat Nav update. I ended up travelling to Bristol, who did it FOC. So I gave them the money to extend my warranty, and had a day and night out in Bristol in the bargain.
I'm not affraid to ask the dealers to remove parts, I haven't authorised to be fitted. If it's simple things I can do myself, which I have done in the past.

Porsche service is never going to be "cheap".

I would be happy if I didn't feel "ripped off " :D

To be fair, Portsmouth never tried to push any of these extras, it was very straight forward dealing with them. Unlike Brooklands (roughly the same distance and I'd used them before for the warranty check), really tried it on including unnecessary spark plug and geabox oil changes for a mere £1,720

I'm just trying to decide whether to add gearbox and transfer box oil changes to my next service, for that cost maybe get them one at an indy.

Have to say that i've just had my recalls done at Colchester OPC which included a free inspection and no hard sell. They correctly identified my low tyres and worn brakes but were realistic about life left.
