On my 2019 S they replaced a pipe feed from just behind bumper to turbo. A service notification arrived in my Porsche which puzzled me as my Macan was not showing anything due. However at that time about 11 months ago, I was due to ring OPC about 11 months ago to book the fitting of my winter wheels. OPC told be they need the car for an extra hour (from memory) to do this "recall job"

To be fair, Portsmouth never tried to push any of these extras, it was very straight forward dealing with them. Unlike Brooklands (roughly the same distance and I'd used them before for the warranty check), really tried it on including unnecessary spark plug and geabox oil changes for a mere £1,720
Have to say that i've just had my recalls done at Colchester OPC which included a free inspection and no hard sell. They correctly identified my low tyres and worn brakes but were realistic about life left.
jk88 and Tim92gts. Good to hear that not all OPCs are out to rip us off.
A stonking great repair bill has been proposed to me recently, for my just-out-of-warranty Carrera T. Negotiations are ongoing. I’ll update on my Carrera T thread in due course.

I think they might suggest you buy an Extended Warranty and then do the necessary work under that. That would seem the fairest way forward. Risky business not renewing warranty thoughWing Commander wrote: ↑Thu Sep 09, 2021 1:17 pmTim92gts wrote: ↑Thu Sep 09, 2021 9:54 amI'm just trying to decide whether to add gearbox and transfer box oil changes to my next service, for that cost maybe get them one at an indy.jk88 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 09, 2021 7:24 am

Be interesting to see if they will extend the warranty on a modified car. It would set a dangerous precedent if they did. Of course there are always gestures of goodwill that can be had.PorscheMack wrote: ↑Thu Sep 09, 2021 3:13 pmI think they might suggest you buy an Extended Warranty and then do the necessary work under that. ^^^ Part of the reason that I didn’t buy an extended warranty were the modifications that I had carried out at Litchfield Motors.
The OPC are currently in contact with Porsche GB to negotiate a goodwill gesture.
I’d be stunned if they’d sell me an extended warranty now, to cover work that they’re telling me needs doing!? Isn’t that like trying to insure your car/house after it’s just been stolen/destroyed by fire etc??

Not exactly. But there's got to be something in it for them other than making you feel betterWing Commander wrote: ↑Thu Sep 09, 2021 4:24 pm ^^^ Part of the reason that I didn’t buy an extended warranty were the modifications that I had carried out at Litchfield Motors.

Well, the quote I had for a 2 year warranty back in December was £1,840 excluding roadside assistance.
Prior to any goodwill gesture, they mentioned £11,500 for supplying & fitting two new turbos!
So, unless the ‘goodwIll gesture’ is worth over £9k...!
