Maybe these are better quality. Would be hard to be worse!

They look a bit better.

Why does the bumper need to come off? Surely they just push over the end of the exhaust and screw in? Should be a 5 min job.
Ah but then any common or garden "s" owner would then swop them with those from a "GTS" whilst their owner in Waitrose.  :o :o

That is what the Porsche Centre told me but agree it seems strange. Maybe they can charge more labour.

Loads about these in the US forum and rennlist. No mention of bumper off.
Apparently to remove the end covers it's one hex screw???
Some take them off to give them a good scrub!!!

Yep, most add-on tips like that are just a single hex screw. Pretty sure if you look at the Porsche ones the’ll be the same ( difficult to see how they could fit any other way ). Also insane to think screwing anything on to your exhaust tip would invalidate your warranty. If you really thought that would be the case, just unscrew and remove them before taking your car to the stealership.

One phrase comes to mind, out of the mouths of some dealerships. Verbal Diarrhoea, I know I've suffered it.

You do realise that there are four exhaust exits. Two from each rear box? It is not a faux four pipe system. The one referenced above 'appears' to be a single entry connection...........................

Maybe its because it is an Audi engine.................................

I think the main point is the exhaust tips are just that, push-on, single screw and there are plenty available on line a lot cheaper than Porsche sell them for and there’s no way on earth it would invalidate your warranty ( any more than putting window stickers on would ), and if you really thought it would they can easily be removed whenever anyone from Porsche was anywhere near it.

Thanks for the original post. May pick some up. I’ll see what the standard tips look like first.

^^^ Omni, just to say the issue is only with the black sports tail pipes. Can’t recall if you’ve specced black ones on your Macan build...
