Had my 2018 SD 21000 miles 1 owner from new for two months and was purchased from a OPC with a two year warranty it came without a spare tyre just an inflation kit I managed to find a a brand new collapsible spare and while fitting to car noticed carpet was damp also could see small trace of water in the battery box and the sound insulation in the drivers side passenger rear underneath the fuse box was wet This was dried out and the following day when driving I lost park assist rear camera and all proximity sensors.
Car was booked into OPC at Silverlink Newcastle who were excellent and they replaced sun roof seal, roof fastenings and rear control unit and cleaned all roof drains under warranty car was returned and all working ok
From other peoples previous posts water getting into the cars seems a common problem glad I had the warranty.
Pan roof was the culprit.

Sorry to hear this, but glad it’s sorted. For this reason, I and some others on here would be hesitant about buying a Macan with a pano roof.

4 years in a mini with a pano and not so much as a drip. Porsche build quality is not sounding quite so bulletproof. Pretty crap if they can’t even build a sunroof that doesn’t leak.

My previous two Macans had panos with no issues but I did regularly treat the seals with Gummiphledge. Worth also clearing the drains every 2 to 3 years. My wife had a 5 door mini ( with pano ) which suffered from water ingress into the boot but pretty sure it was the boot seal - got rid of it before diagnosed.OmniCognateSnr wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 3:14 pm 4 years in a mini with a pano and not so much as a drip. Two Macans and in over 4 yrs use absolutely no issues. Would not be without the pano roof. Just back from a touring holiday in south Devon and had the roof fully open on all the country roads = bliss.mark-yorkshire wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 3:24 pmMy previous two Macans had panos with no issues but I did regularly treat the seals with Gummiphledge. Two Macan’s with pano roof and on the 2nd wet boot floor at 3 years and then wet passenger footwell 12 months later. The pano roof was the culprit.
Third Macan ordered with no pano roof.

Numerous cars on the road nowadays have sun roof / panoramic roof from "cheap cars" all the way through. You would have to assume that the majority do not leak.
We have had a couple of roadsters and even they have been leak free.
