What is the interior lighting like? Coming from an X3 that lights up like a spaceship I'm perfectly happy with more subtle lighting, but it would be good to have a verdict on what it does look like. Thanks!
Its a spaceship when you open the doors, very bright. Think they've changed the lights to LEDS 8-) I have a light interior which makes it more pronounced. However once it turns off you have some nice ambient lighting around the door bin area. I'll send some pics later if you want.
Here’s a few pictures of the interior lighting. It’s quite bright 😎 . You feel a bit on show when you’ve just got into the car at night. I’ll see if you can turn down the intensity for some more ambience.

its ok, you can stop showing them now because I’m wishing more and more that I’d gone with the light interior.

Light interior looks so good but no way on earth would my kids not destroy it in 5 minutes
Couldn’t deal with the stress of always worrying about it, so boring black is easiest!

Not a fan of either, actually like the black tbh - also don’t mind partial red/black but a little too boy racer according to my other half :p

I’m going to side with your other half, I could like with red accents but not full red leather for me. Deviated seat colours is an option which has grown on me since my spec locked though, but seems very rare and hard to find a picture of!

Thanks for that! Hard to see any lighting in the doors, but then I suppose the main light will dim when driving and I have to keep some things a surprise until delivery!

Don’t know about the latest update but in the earlier models the ‘horseshoe’ light around the roof console is quite tricky to dim down. It’s done by repeatedly pressing the on/off switch to dim it in stages. Just when you think you’ve nearly got it to its lowest setting one more press returns it to full brightness! Takes a few goes to get it right.

You learn something new every day, I wasn't aware that was dimmable. That said, it has never seemed intrusive and I don't foresee needing to fiddle with it any time soon. Well maybe just out of curiosity!

PMS888 wrote: Sun Oct 03, 2021 8:56 pm Thanks everyone for the compliments, I saw the pebble / carbon fibre combo on a Cayenne in a showroom and just fell in love with it even though the cost is eye watering 😭. I’ve got 2 car seats and both under 5 yr you would think I’m crazy 🤣. No food in the car! 😂😂
Thanks PMS888, the photos are very helpful - I’m veering towards the Pebble Grey leather now as it will go well with a black exterior. No young children, but do have mucky teenagers. Hmmm, maybe Gtechniq Leather Guard will do job of keeping it clean.

But then again…. perhaps the ‘Gangsta’ black on black (with black wheels and privacy glass) look ? 😜.
Macan S arrived May’22.
