Thanks for the update.

Just a word of warning, some insurance companies class factory fitted optional extras as mods, others do not. Rather silly position because who ever buys a bone stock spec Porsche?

Agreed, but if that happens then the prospective customer should walk.

No, not with LV=. To name but one insurer.

Actually there's another Post covering this and Admiral appear to be a competitive insurer.

A lot depends on your Postcode. I asked if a tracker would reduce my premium and the answer was "not where I live, it would be a requirement in some places though".

I was looking to insure with either NFU or LV. As per my previous post, NFU were massively higher than quotes I'd received from LV, so it left me with LV only to consider.

The quotes I received from LV were obtained from comparison sites.
Here is what I received:

1) Compare the Market quoted £487.86
2) Go Compare quoted £426.39

I was set to push the button on Go Compare.
However, I thought I would get a quote direct from the LV website, and they quoted £252.15

This is why it pays to spend a bit of time and shop around.

Macan SD - Volcano Grey

The Gen 3 models aren’t on the comparison sites, or any other site for that matter though. I just double checked all the usual, including LV and go compare and they don’t have Gen 3’s. I assume you are talking about Gen 2 insurance?
