Nice one. That made me laugh!
Cheers,
Back in the 70's, me and Dad used to wire a key switch into the low tension wire on the coil. When switched out, the car would turn over but not spark. I came back to my MK3 Cortina in B'ham centre one night, to find the door open and the battery very low, but there were 4/5 of us so we managed to bump start it.TheTraveller wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 10:23 pm Years ago people asked their local garage, auto electrician, to put a hidden switch somewhere, that interrupted one of the essential systems, that it needed to go. This doesn’t seem to happen anymore, but I’m sure it is possible.
I can remember this was part of a public information spot on TV, a long time ago.
One of my friends used to do that with his gt3 RS when he started it outside my house and would come back in and finish his breakfast !Wing Commander wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 1:02 pm

BTW, just noticed some wag has had the valve caps off my mini! Didn’t think people still did that kind of thing.
Coban are the manufacturer. Various flavours badged '303'. These and similar on Amazon. Use a £10 PAYG SIM that lasts several years. Can either use an app to track the car or simply phone the SIM and you get texted back with Google maps link where the car isMacanSman wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 10:14 amWhat tracker do you use Madelvic?Madelvic wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 10:02 am Not heard any stories about Macans being a target for car theft. My previous Audi RS4 was a target
I have a tracker cost circa £30 identical to those for sale for £200 (UK companies buy and rebadge them eg Back2You). Three wire connection
I keep away from others in car parks
