Probably not,it’s a specialist job,if I was having it fitted I wouldn’t let my OPC anywhere near!PorscheMack wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 7:15 pmDo OPCs fit this stuff as well?OmniCognateSnr wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 6:58 pmI had PPF on the Aston, on the nose and wheel arches. If you take it to your local car wash, don’t bother with the treatment, save yourself about £600ish. PPF Iis a kind of film coating that can be fitted to your car usually on the front but can go anywhere , it’s good for preventing stone chips etc.

When GTechniq was offered by the OPC I went to there is also an option for PPF but this is outsourced. They said they send the vehicles to reepmidlands to do the paint correction before PPF. Expect an extra week for this before handover

I’m having PPF on mine on Monday. I’ll post up some pics when done and give my honest opinion of what I think. Although the benefit really is a couple of years down the line when you shouldn’t have any stone chips.
Now taken delivery of Gen 2 GTS http://www.porsche-code.com/PMWQDY44
you having the whole car done or just the parts most likely to get chipped ?
Surely having the ceramic on will go some way to prevent the paint getting damaged by the cowboy car washers !!Sweetmeister wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 6:56 pmIf you take it to your local car wash, don’t bother with the treatment, save yourself about £600ish. If I’m the lazy bastard sort who doesn’t wash their Macan often and takes it to the local hand wash (£10 round my way) is there any point getting gtechniq treatment? My new Macan arrives shortly and I’m trying to decide whether to get it gtechniq’d, or should I get something else. What is PPF, or ceramic detailing?
Supposedly the local OPC do not do it in-house but give it to a professional retailer.
Cheers

No is the simple answer .Ceramic coating won’t stop your local car washer with a sponge from swirling the paint.Tracky wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 11:09 pmSurely having the ceramic on will go some way to prevent the paint getting damaged by the cowboy car washers !!Sweetmeister wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 6:56 pmIf you take it to your local car wash, don’t bother with the treatment, save yourself about £600ish. Easier solution to that particular issue is wash it yourself.Sweetmeister wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 9:04 amNo is the simple answer .Ceramic coating won’t stop your local car washer with a sponge from swirling the paint.Tracky wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 11:09 pmSurely having the ceramic on will go some way to prevent the paint getting damaged by the cowboy car washers !!Sweetmeister wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 6:56 pm
