being realistic 20k services were introduced for the company car usurers, 3 services and then a new car not the best for private ownership.

Is it still every 20k miles with the new engine line-up ( appreciate this is slightly off topic as this post referred to diesels) ?

The interim and major services are the earlier of 20000 miles or two years. With the Audi v6's Oil services will be earlier if the sensor records the oil getting dirty through too many cold starts after which the contaminants fail to be burnt off through the oil not reaching normal operating of 90 deg and above. I find it takes between 7 and 10 miles for that to happen, Basically, if I use the car it does 25 miles at least for each cold start. the sensor has stuck the car so far to the 20k and 2-year regime. During lockdown, those who only did two or three miles were finding sensors calling for oil service after low thousands some as low as 4000.

So basically Omni every time you use your Macan to take the wife to work go for a nice long drive of 20 miles or more on some of the better downland roads!!!

I am today about to go to Chichester for some food shopping which is 6 miles from here but will probably go via Petworth and Midhurst to ensure my "rule" is met.

Hi, update on the oil change it`s £433 still in shock no courtesy car & no collection

I am going to have a go at DIY, I would like to know when you change the oil & filter does the oil message have to be reset?

Thanks everyone for the feed back.

Is that price just for an oil change? Seems very expensive if it is. I got a price from my local OPC for a 4 year service plus brake fluid change....£565.

I asked about a PDK service before I bought my Macan, Bristol quoted£486. Called in Bournemouth OPC yesterday to get the missing service stamp in the book, and they quoted £516. Maybe not a lot of difference but shows it’s worth calling around.

Paid £250 last year for PDK, using Porsche filters and spec oil, try an indie for a quote?

That is expensive

You (not you obviously but the OP!) needs to tell the dumb arse dealer that it is just an oil service not a full service

Can't remember what I paid but it was in the £200 range not the £4/500 range

911 has just been serviced at 2 years and 15,000 miles - that was £900.
