When viewing posts via my iPad, I find there are large blank spaces between some posts.

Yes its advertising which takes up more space the the forum posts themselves!

It could be, although I do see some adverts.
They're very annoying, and seem to have increased over time.

I get that sometimes, it seems less than I did a year or more ago, on my Samsung tablet. I'd concluded it was some sort of "user error" by posters.

Funny that, on my 4 month old Apple iPad, I get very few ads, and no gaps of any kind. More so on my desk top pc.
