It said "we’re pushing the Macan even more than we realized", which I'm taking to mean in daily driving it won't make a difference which brakes are chosen.
How often on public roads do you push it to the point of repeatedly standing on the brakes in a short period of time to generate lots of heat?
I've also read elsewhere that PCCB's are not recommended for track use, so my question becomes, when are they needed?

Nah, my point was, I now have an article that I can refer to to justify my choices. Should I need to.
The longevity of the brakes is the real reason for choosing them. I don’t want to have to pay out for pscb replacements as plan to keep the car a fair while as a daily driver.
There’s also a chap over on the PCGB forum with a gen 2 turbo who thinks that pccb are preferable to his standard for pscb.
Horses for course right. And we all love a bit of supposed qualified justification for our needless addition of options.
