White colour should be reserved for white goods, I.e. stove, fridge, A/C, … .

Having said that, I do acknowledge that Porsche, looks good in white with cool decals, e.g. Martini Racing.

From a practical side, white is easy to match, if one expects damage that will require repair - one farmer told me who had few white pickup trucks.

And now I will take cover 😜

Sorry, white not for me as that side bonnet gap line going through the top of the wheel arch and just ending a third of way down driver & passenger doors shows up more than with other colours when viewing Macan from a main side view.
Would be better if that line wasn’t as evident from side - just seems like it maybe should go on further or why is it there anyway? 🤔
Other than that, white on a Macan looks good - wonder if you can “wrap the gap”?😉

That's an interesting take on shut lines Dave. Yes, the shut lines obviously do show up more on a light coloured car, but that's inevitable when a car is constructed from numerous body panels. The manufacturers could make the gaps smaller but one effect of that would be small children losing their fingers rather than just suffering bruising in the very common door closing accidents. The shut line you refer to is there as a result of the design of the iconic Macan clamshell bonnet. Doing away with that would result in shut lines down the bonnet instead, probably more unsightly. And yes, you could 'wrap the gap', but then you wouldn't be able to open the bonnet!

Hi Nick + hope you're keeping well.

Comfy with width of the gaps and I'm all for iconic looks but I'd have settled for bonnet lines of either the Cayenne or Carrera etc - pics below (even though no engine under latter!) which both result in no shut lines showing on the wings and, in my mind, look just as good.

Maybe they could do all the darker coloured Macans with the iconic clamshell bonnet (if that's what folk want) and the lighter ones in another style (Cayenne/Carrera etc) - I'd buy a white one then :)

Only joking re the wrap :D

Its a good job they allow everyone to have their options, I mean some would say white goods are no longer just white, quite a few are black or grey....

When I was choosing my last car my only restriction on colour was not another bloody grey!
