After noseying around my OPC yesterday to see what had turned up I came to the conclusion that the standard SBs on the Macan actually look a bit "Low grade". The other conclusion is that Roof rails protrude a little too much towards Heaven from certain angles. So at the moment my spec will be painted body coloured blades and a bald roof

Yep agree on a basic level but as you go up it all depends on the spec to get it right.

I'm not so sure about that as the material the blades are made from seems a bit flimsy. No doubt the painted version is the same underneath but they look more finished.. But so they should for £404!!Partysausage wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 1:49 pm Yep agree on a basic level but as you go up it all depends on the spec to get it right.

My SD had the standard sideblades which were a sod to clean.
Current Turbo came with the sideblades painted body colour, plus with the ceramic coating they are a doddle to clean.
Suggest paint or have them wrapped.

Are all of the new side blades this "ribbed" type plastic now with that lip that sticks out?
The only ones I've seen in the dealership were and they weren't pretty to look at imo. If they are, they won't be the easiset to wrap.

The Base and S have a honeycomb finish and the GTS is smooth. Both made from the same material though I would say.

I have carbon fibre side blades on my latest Macan, had the standard ones on my SD and they were horrible.
