Can someone help with floor mats..... Did they change shape between Gen 1 & Gen 2 ? Are the mats Gen 1 & Gen 2 specific?

From what I've read on here previously they are different. Something to do with the foot rest? Might be worth a quick search as there have been posts about this.

Both rear and front passenger are identical, there is a difference with the drivers mat due to a redesign of the left footrest. See the photo with both driver mat versions. The Gen 2 here is the black mat with the cutout shown. Some do use the Gen 1 and allow it to overlay or trim with a Stanley.

I use a set of Gen1 mats on a 67 reg gen 1.5 and they work fine, the overlap shown on MikeM photos don’t cause me an issue. When I bought the set s/h off this site I wasn’t aware there was a difference.

Brilliant... Thanks for the pics and informed reply. I've purchased a set of used mats & didn't realise they differed..... but as you've confirmed, either will be ok

If you search for mats on the accessories page on Porsche’s website, I think the mats include a date in the detail page. I think it’s May 2017, which indicates the point of change. Might be worth checking that
