I have Chrono and, as you, doubt I will ever use the stop watch, but I do like the option to switch modes via the steering wheel, and on several occasions I have used the Sport Response button which sits in the middle of the dial, to add a 20-second burst of power.

Genuine question - sport response button is extra power or just put into sports plus for 20 seconds??

The latter, usually enough for most occasions. 👍

Neil, I guess this means you're planning a change after less than two years with your Gen 2 S.
3 on 1 September, doesn't time fly! Experience, bit of envy, warranty, wear, etc. etc.
It was your signature that threw me Neil. I assumed 2020 was when you bought the car, not the model year.

That is a very good question and one Porsche themselves will probably not answer.

The prior generation of SC just changed the engine and gearbox mapping very slightly, resulting in a very small lowering of the 0-60 time.

The current SC does seem a worthwhile inclusion if it has the Boost feature.

Anyone care to do a bit of actual testing?

I've also decided against Miami Blue as I've seen one recently and it's much darker in colour than the configurator suggests. My new choice is Gentian Blue although I also like the Silver. Wife likes Genetian Blue too so looks like that's what it will be with 21 inch RS Spyder wheels.

It is Launch Control that marginally reduces the 0-60 time, Col, rather than the Sport Response button. Launch Control is for a more violent/dramatic launch from standstill. Sport Response button is for a burst of extra speed when already on the move, to perform an overtake for example. :)
