Just sold my Macan for roughly the same price as I bought it 14 months ago:

The dealer took commission and prep, and I cleared 57k.
So still decent prices on god quality 2nd hand cars

Please can we see some more pictures of your Aston, she is beautifulWotsits wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 1:40 pmI love Miami Blue and a Miami 911 GT3 is still very much a dream car. However, after seeing their Macan in the flesh, I though it just didn't work and I wasn't overly keen at all. It might have looked better outside (I only saw it in the showroom) but it wasn't for me, so I went with red instead.Jon A wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 12:56 pmI too was looking at that car in Nottingham and I wondered if it was the colour that stopped it selling quite so quickly? Not a bad colour by any means but I know many don’t want to get such a “look at me” colour?Wotsits wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 12:49 pm I was looking at the Miami Blue 20 plate Turbo at OPC Nottingham around October/November time...it hung around unsold for a long time and I think the price came down to around £72,999 before it sold.
That actually looks like decent value in the current climate, although at the time I thought it was crazy money for a 1 year old car with 14k miles!
Personally, I think if you are buying a Porsche there’s nothing wrong with making it look “shouty” to stand out in the sea of grey…
The other thing is, it would probably have clashed with my Aston which is a similar but different bright blue!

Proves WBAC isn’t very accurate - they value my Gen3 S with 1500miles at £55kCaps4444 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 9:33 pm Just sold my Macan for roughly the same price as I bought it 14 months ago:

Wbac, Cazoo and OPC offers etc are trade offers. On a £50k to £60k car the trade turn I.e. difference below retail is typically of the order £8k to £10K. Banz I must admit has done well finding a dealer prepared to sell at top retail at a low rate of commission and £60k for a year old base is very much top retail

Previous generation but my Vantage was similarly eye-catching, and not just due to the colour. PSE was never going to compete with the sound of a V8 with the secondary cats removed so I won't be spending £1700 on that option.

I think apart from the small commission, they make their money from the finance part, which I believe was arranged for the buyer.pmg wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 11:00 pm Wbac, Cazoo and OPC offers etc are trade offers. But yes, clearing 57k was lucky as well I guess.

Yes that makes sense, but then finance is where most garages make their money these daysCaps4444 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 11:00 amI think apart from the small commission, they make their money from the finance part, which I believe was arranged for the buyer.pmg wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 11:00 pm Wbac, Cazoo and OPC offers etc are trade offers.
