What if any value does this add? Does it justify the £££?
Sometimes Google fails to have the same speed limit as on the road signs but it's very rare.
To quote drgav2005:
"I’d drop speed limit indicator. This shows up in the sat nav screen anyway (certainly in google maps) so a quick glance and you’ll know what the limit is on any unfamiliar roads."
This seems reasonable but where does the optioned Indicator show and does it compromise anything else?
Can somebody with experience offer their wisdom? Thanks.
Speed Limit Indicator

I do a lot of driving without having to have Google maps on the screen for a start. Also it’s really slow to change on the sat nav when you enter different speed zones. This is one of the cheapest features on the spec list but offers loads of value!Neil1911 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 2:45 pm What if any value does this add? Does it justify the £££?

Depends on how easy you want to make it for the following to be activated retrospectively I guess.

I do think that is a substantial danger, other major changes to the vehicles hardware neededOld Chimer wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 2:52 pm Depends on how easy you want to make it for the following to be activated retrospectively I guess.

The Macan already has a speed limiter, nearly all new cars do. It is optional whether to use it and it is this technology that will be mandatory.Old Chimer wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 2:52 pm Depends on how easy you want to make it for the following to be activated retrospectively I guess.

The Macan's speed limiter (not present if you have ACC) is set by the driver, a substantial differenceJon A wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 2:58 pmThe Macan already has a speed limiter, nearly all new cars do. These limiters are set by the driver. I had this tech in my Jag and it was excellent but I could switch it off!
This is what the article is saying - the tech will be mandatory but the use of it is optional.
