Hello all,
I was wondering what kind of mobile phone mount do you use and where have you mounted it.
I am using this one, which is great at holding the phone but I don’t get to use the centre arm rest as comfortably and I need to look down at the mobile for turn by turn direction if using apple CarPlay Google maps, which is not the safest to do when the car can creep up the speed limit so quickly.
What other options are there?
Cheers.
What mobile phone holder do you use?
Ken why are you looking at your phone at all when you have CarPlay? Surely you just open Google maps on your PCM screen and tuck the phone away in centre console. That way no risk of being caught by the RossersKen C wrote: ↑Sun Mar 27, 2022 8:40 pm Hello all,

I use a Quad Lock mobile phone mount in my current car. Still yet to find out if it will be appropriate for my Macan but it works fine for me at the moment.

For some reason when I use Google maps through Apple CarPlay, all the turn by turn directions are on my phone not on the PCM. The PCM just shows the route and the direction. I like to see ahead when is the next junction or which exit at the roundabout. The PCM is not showing this to me unless I’m using it incorrectly.

Ah I see - that sounds odd as it should just reflect what is on the phone, but also I think the turn by turn should show in the MFD too?
Others will know for sure…

When did Porsche start charging for SatNav? My Gen II GTS has regular updates and works fine and, so far, no charges.
