No, you still need to press the accelerator or touch the Acc lever even with TJA to get the car moving again. Traffic jam assist in theory added low speed steering control to follow the car in front. of the earlier replies On Track is nearest but I think it disappeared as an option well before MY21
Ah got you. I had it in a previous Merc and you needed to steer but it would set off automatically when car in front did without prompt. It was quite relaxing actually in a motorway jam.
If Porsche version didn’t do this it sounds pretty pointless.
I suspect Porsche did the low speed version the way they did as TJA could be used in towns and there could be a pedestrian about to step off the pavement to the side of view the front camera picks up. hence sensible asking for a driver trigger.

Actually I have had ACC for twelve years now in various cars, and I think the Macan version works very well. I use it mainly to keep to speed limits particularly in temporary limits etc.

So what does MY22 Porsche ACC (without TJA) require if anything to move when the motorway lane comes to a standstill?

Thanks, seems similar to my MY19. I was interested because I cannot make my mind up about putting a deposit down for a new S to arrive in 2024 when my 2019 will be five the advantage being the twin turbo 2.9 over 3 litr and five years newer but disadvantage being loss of physical buttons and running a car in again

Running in seems a minor inconvenience, it only took a couple of months. Having said that, I hardly ever take it over 4K revs and you certainly wouldn’t NEED to if you so desired?
