Damage to my rear passenger door has resulted in the need for a new door; as per the OPC recommended repairers. No surprise I guess. Anyone else been down this road with new doors, panels etc.. Any advice welcome

Is that repairer part of the same company ('tis in Sheffield) if so get a second opinion from somebody not making money for their in-house parts department.

No, it's M&A Coachworks (Edgware and Potters Bar) who apparently are the "only" Porsche recommended bodyshop for the London area. As the repairs will be covered by my insurance it's probably better to get a new door rather than have the original repaired. My local bodyshop quoted Β£1,200 to repair. M&A Β£7,700!!

Yep. But I'm over a barrel I guess, as unless I go with a Porsche Approved repairer should there be any problems then my OPC will not be very sympathetic

Any idea whether doors have to be ordered from Germany or will Porsche have spare body parts in the UK?GTB wrote: βSat Jun 25, 2022 1:15 pmFeel your pain PorscheMack and ironically that preverbial barrel would be one no doubt that contained "French" Brandy!!PorscheMack wrote: βSat Jun 25, 2022 12:35 pm Yep. Inconvenient and annoying for you, but does it actually make any difference to you financially if itβs Β£1,200 or Β£7,700?

No, not at all. But it's clearly a typical ploy by the Repairer to get as much Β£ out of this as possible. Which doesn't sit well with me..

Yep. In the end, this type of behaviour pushes all of our insurance premiums up.
