Personally, if you want to be spending around the £56,000 mark, and don't feel comfortable paying that for a second hand Macan. Why not ring round some dealers seeing if they have order slots in for a Macan T.

As I found out when I ordered mine, some dealers get cars sooner than others. maybe they pre-order cars knowing they car sell them and get the spec changed. Think a few people on here have got cars coming within months of ordering. While I'm still waiting for mine 13 months later.

I'd rather have a brand new T than the car you're looking at. You then get the latest car, latest tech, and you can tweak the spec as you like, without going too much over the £56k basic RRP.

Just note the APR on new Porsches. Now over 11%. Which is also why you may get a build slot earlier than you think, as I'm sure some people will be backing out due to the rise in monthly payments.
I thought about a T and was actaully offered one in a month or so in exactly the way you mention. I struggle with the point of the T and not sure what you get for the extra c£5k?!
You'll get a better car than the one you're looking at, unless the spec of the second hand car is better than the T for options.

At the end of the day, do you want a new car or second hand? The T will be the better handling car. Comes with sports Chrono, and TBH looks pretty good.

If you can get a T in a month or so, it's a no brainer for me. Brand new, your spec / colour etc.

Only you can decide what's best for yourself.

+1. Although in a month? Is the spec already locked down on that new T? :geek:

Since putting a deposit down , I have been offered 3 Macans on drop outs, unfortunately they were cars for immediate delivery, so someone else’s spec.

1 ) Base Macan with over 20k options , so a £72k car. No chance.

2) S with options I didn’t want and very few of the ones I did , £68k car, reluctantly passed.

3) Just yesterday offered a T, tossed and turned all last night wondering should I take it at £63k. Spec was
Carmine Red
Panoramic roof
21” Turbo alloys
Sports exhaust
Privacy glass
Agate Gray trim changed to black
Standard Leather black which is FOC on T

Decided to pass, a compromise, not bothered about sports exhaust, if a T I actually like the Agate trim, if getting 21” alloys I think you need Air( at my age anyway) All above at list.

OPC had a really nice S on 22 plate with only 4k miles, speced on confusarater and it was 4k over new list! Told them I flatly refused to pay over the odds just to get a car early, sold the next day. If folks are willing to pay this type of price for nearly new then Gen3 prices will keep on being high!
Macan S
Audi S3 x 2
Macan
Jag XF x 2
Audi A3/4/6 (C. Cars)
VW Golf/Passat (C.Cars)
Ford Cortina/Capri/Sierra(C.Cars)
Toyota Celica x2
Triumph Stag/ TR5(classics)
MGB
Austin 1300( first car)

Good to hear. I’d still see if a pre-loved S might be available within budget... :)
