Hi,

First post!

I was going to buy a new Macan however leadtimes are too long and I need something now so am looking at a MY21.

My question is what am I missing out on vs a MY23.

I understand the styling changes and touch centre console vs buttons.

But is the touch screen and software the same? And does the MY21 have Apple Car Play? I can't seem to find this info...

Many thanks in advance and welcome any thoughts!

Much will depend on the model you are looking at. With an S, for example, you'll get an updated engine and bigger wheels, same goes for the GTS. I can say Carplay is obvious on my 23 S but wasn't on my 2020 S but I never looked for it!

Personally, you're gaining by having a 2021. Not a fan of the new design inside and out, and apple car play was on my 2021 Turbo 👍🏻

You looking at base, S, GTS or Turbo?

Am looking at base or perhaps S. Just struggling mentally with paying as much used as I would for a new one!

I confirm that my previous 2020 S had CarPlay as standard, however, I prefer the 2.9l V6 in my new 2023 S, compared to the 3.0l V6 in the 2020 model.

I have had Car Play since 2016, for me it has not been that useful a feature.

Certainly would not be a deal breaker if it was not included.

Yep that’s a Gen 2, so it will have Apple CarPlay. I think by then it had become wireless, in early Gen 2 models like mine it is connected via cable.

That’s a reasonable price in todays market for approved used, just make sure you get nice long warranty.

Thank you. Re warranty I think will have untill end of 2025 - are you suggesting worth extending?
