Yes, because it's on that fold, knocking that out would require an anvil! I had a little dink right on that line, PDR guy said "insufficient access" body shop said "leave it if you're selling soon" so I did.

You guys are being too easily led by body shops after a high cost repair.

Take a look at this and I've seen as bad with my own eyes:

My local PDR man that I have used several times before, says that the door skin has stretched out of the door below the dent on the swage line so he can’t do it. The side blade appears to be undamaged. So to the body shop it goes when all the approval etc happens. The body shop has a months delay on accepting drivable cars.

I hate damage on vehicles. Filler is not acceptable if the rest of your car is mint, colour match is very difficult as well. Have to think come re-sale time too, if a repair can be seen then you'll lose some money.

Rarecolour, exactly & that my friend is why it is going to Chartwell to be repaired.

Rarecolour,

Thank you, my friend had his Taycan repaired there when he successfully converted a deer into Venison! The job they did was amazing, there was no evidence to the eye that it had ever been bent, & boy it was bent! I have also seen several cars that they restored for Porsche restoration challenge which were also awesome, with fantastic paint jobs on them.
I will post back on here when fixed, but for drivable cars they have a months waiting list @ present time, so it will be few weeks. All I want is the job doing right.

I've acquired an injury in the time this thread has been running, a split in the trim on the pillar behind the driver's window. Must have happened while parked at the golf club this morning (I noticed it when I was coming home, twas v obvious in the bright sunshine) or last night in the pub car park. $64,000 question: HOW?

It's disguised a bit by the PPF.

I had exactly the same thing on my Gen 1 - but on the passenger side. And I hadn't been anywhere for it to happen at the time so I was at a total loss. OPC were unable to say how it happened, but wasn't covered by warranty and had to pay for a new piece!

Hi Neil,

If you have a look on the US Macan forum, you’ll see that splitting of the B pillar trim isn’t uncommon, and it has been covered under warranty, so I’d suggest contacting your supplying OPC……good luck! 🤞🤞
