What did you spec and now regret/wouldn’t spec again? What do you wish that you had specced?

No regrets for me. Apparently nobody will want to buy it when I (if ever) I decide to sell it, as it has no pano, chrono or sports exhaust, but I don't really give a flying firetruck :D

Great thread. Very useful as getting close to lockdown and in the confusirator endlessly 😂. Shocked at what is an ‘extra’ on a premium marque, e.g Is auto dim rear view mirror really not standard!!

If you go for the privacy glass you absolutely don’t need the dimming mirror. I don’t even use the manual dip on mine.

I have a little green light button below my rear view mirror... Not sure what that is, but guessing something to do with the dimming?

Yes, the button allows you to turn the dimming on and off.

Auto dimming mirrors are useful as it includes the door mirrors so reduces the glare coming through front the side windows.

I’ve never once noticed glare from the door mirrors in the Macan. Think the elevation of the vehicle prevents this the majority of the time.

Things I regret
  • Homelink garage opener - incompatible with my doors
Things I wish I had specced
  • Insulated glass - for break in protection rather than sound isolation
  • GT steering wheel - I like a more chunky, sporty wheel like I have in my Mini
  • Carbon gear knob - I detest the standard gear knob and bought a cheapo carbon cover on AliExpress

Spent 12K on options based on previous two Macans and help from the Forum as this will be a long term car. best additions from previous were ACC, heated screen and steering wheel plus having had 18 way seats before reverting back to 14 way. Extended Black and pebble leather is great and no problems with marking.
Very pleased to have chosen Crayon after many positive comments. Regretted not having the Macan Sport wheels .
Biggest regret is not to have purchased one of the last Gen 2 GTS's as I miss the switches and buttons.
