I have a 2019 Macan S and have done 45k miles.
I’m thinking of going for a new Gen3 S (to last a good few years), but I do like my Gen2 despite racking up the miles.
Has anyone moved from a 2 to a 3 and wished they hadn’t, and why?
Thanks
New Gen3 or old Gen2
I've made that exact move but NO, haven't regretted it. I have been surprised by the degree of difference between the two. I reckon the 2.9ltr engine makes it more GTS like in character, so as long as that's not off putting, go for it!

Think you’ve hit the nail on the head with the spec.
Nearly got everything, but may want to consider:
1. Surround View - absolutely fantastic feature and I wouldn’t buy a Macan without it.
2. BOSE - great for resale value and sound quality is great.
3. No black callipers - personally I think the red callipers would look fine with Dolomite and if you still want them after getting the car, you’ll probably be able to get it done cheaper from elsewhere.
Otherwise, you’ll 100% enjoy that car!

Agree Bose will add circa £500 to resale value - as long as you are happy to pay £1k up front to get £500 back…gammaray wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 8:06 pmThink you’ve hit the nail on the head with the spec.

Also just to add that a proper caliper paint job (off the car and powder coated) will be nearer £700. You can get the visible parts sprayed on car for around £150 but this is a distant second to having them done properly.
Surround view is ok but easily the worst of any modern car I’ve driven including our Kia. The “top down” view, when selected is in the wrong direction of travel (landscape instead of portrait) and the standard view is very small.

So do I, but then it’s small and not ideal. Most cars would fill that screen with an HD view that you can manipulate the view with your fingers to focus in on a particular area, say left side wheels for example…
When you see what you can get, the version we have is very poor. Just another foible…
