👍

Says on their website 'cars under 4 years old' though. Mines nearly 5 years old
They do take older cars if in good condition. My old S3 saloon was nearly 5 years old and they offered me a price on it. I just got a slightly better deal elsewhere.

They refused to give a quote as there was no sunroof on my Macan.
Arrived July 2023 - S, Silver.
Arrived April 2019- S Petrol in Sapphire Blue & 21” Spiders. Sold
Arrived April 15 -diesel S, Agate grey & 20 “ spiders. Sold

I'm currently thinking about Taycan CTs after the cratering of the EV market brought the 21/22 cars into sane pricing territory of a smidge under £75k as an an Approved Used - looks like a £35k drop from the daft bubble last autumn. Checking what Motorway would offer as a benchmark on a couple of them, it is a steady £20k under the sticker price.

That's a large ouch to lose as the wheels leave the dealership threshold.

Lot's of new stock Taycans of all breeds, seem to be listed about £5k under list. Still gives you a £50k depreciation on 2 years at those metrics, which is more Audi behaviour :D . We've swung from one extreme to another...

Current used EV prices dropping like stone as supply catches up with demand and the increasing pace of battery development. You may pick up a perceived bargain now but you’ll take a bath when you trade it. Safer bet is even a diesel at the moment! Just my opinion, wait another five years 👍

Much wisdom there, and probably explains why I look but I don't touch. Currently have a five year old X3 3.0d from new (bottled the Macan, but this is a lovely well informed forum so I keep dropping by). BMW has been faultless and has oddly appreciated a little in value over the last 6 months, so folk out there agree with you.

Getting a bit hacked off with tooling it round town with that big lumpy on/off engine, but it's a fine thing on a long run. Maybe the answer is to add a Mini Electric, not switch to a large beast of car with reputation. Or wait for values to converge a bit more in a year...time is on our side in the used market...

They were over £4k more than WBAC (even before WBAC had chance to look at it and knock money off) and £2k more than Prestige. It’s was on a BMW X3 M40i
Good call...forgot about Carwow.

Also waiting to hear back from a couple of OPCs and then the game starts and I'll see how much they really want to do a deal
Strange that you rarely see anyone on here recommend selling privately.

I've tried selling tasty cars privately before. Sick to death of time wasters, scammers, or people wanting my postcode then never turning up, so you then start questioning their motives for wanting the postcode. To the pont of actually hiding the RS4 in a mates garage.

As well as numpties phoning up to say they're on there way (what's the postcode mate) with cash and thinking I'll let them take it away for £5k less, just because they'll be bringing cash. And the even bigger numpties wanting to buy the wheels only. Yeah, sure. Wheels are £35,000 and I'll chuck the car in for free !
