Tracky wrote: Sun Jul 16, 2023 1:46 pm I’d be tempted to get the black calipers too as I’m not sure if the orange and red clash
I would agree with that in principle......but, at £640 for a caliper colour change, I'd be keeping the red ones.
Oh it’s expensive for sure but long term car I think it would grate

Same for not adding the exhaust - even my wife presses that button before she drives off!
I seem to remember a post on here describing the sports exhaust as sounding like a wet fart! 🤣🤣🙈😳

Ideally i am looking for a delivery around March 24 to coincide with my 60th birthday and retirement so thought i would treat myself to my dream car at the spec i want and before the EV model takes over. They did offer me an earlier slot at the end of 2023 so guess they may have had some cancellations or spare slots. My initial post was to look at a GTS but with the price increase and lead times highlighted the S to be the better option at this point in time. After much deliberation i have settled for the following spec, i was keen on the light pebble interior but was talked out of it by the sales rep in favour of the Black with orange stitching etc

In the mean time i will be selling my Oct 2017 Macan S diesel after my final road trip in early September with around 40k miles. The OPC offered me less than Motorway but seeing as it has been a good car to me will advertise on the forum first under cars for sale in the coming months. Won’t bother with Auto Trader or advertising elsewhere, some pictures attached, if they have uploaded ??.

Did you sell this or get advice on the best way to buy/sell a car similar to this?

I don't think there's a single answer to this, it varies with the used car market, time of year and maybe even the wind direction! You're best trying as many avenues as you can, WBAC, OPC, Motorway, Cazoo, whatever, there is no single one that always gives the best result and some involve more hassle than others! Good Luck.

Hi All after getting a price from the OPC where I have placed my new car order they were quoting £1,500 less than motorway were quoting. My plan is to advertise slightly higher than motorway on the forum first and if no luck then sell to motorway. Won't bother with auto trader as don't want loads of time wasters / tyre kickers coming round. Unless anyone has any experience of specialist garages that wold be interested in such a vehicle.

If the forum route doesn’t work out, I found when selling my Tiguan last week that motorway wanted a low ball reserve so I ended up using car wow.

I sold my previous S to We Buy Any Car, painless and convenient, it can't harm to try them.
