In principle I would agree but most of the current alloys aren’t just black or silver. I think the top ones work either way (our summer wheels):

Posting this has reminded me - I think some of the alloys come from factory with coloured crests; but which ones?

Surely just the ones where the buyer has ticked "Coloured wheel centres £££", no?

In the configurator there are some wheel options which show with coloured centres even if you don’t tick that box as well. I don’t know if that’s an accurate representation…

[Edit] Just had a play - some do indeed come with coloured centres because if you try to select that as a separate option, it tries to change your wheel selection.

As with others I think this always depends on wheel colour.
My Macan has black wheels and back centre caps.
My last 718 had satin platinum wheels and then the matching centre caps.
