I was aware of that but didn't see where the suggestion that "coasting should be linked to the auto start/stop button" came from and assumed it was due to me using an acronym too many. It does take forever to assimilate them all!
The disable ASS button (which many, I know, switch off on starting) also disables coasting.

This place is a fund of information, it never ceases to shine light in the darkness, even two Macans and 4 years on!

I'm with you with that sentiment!

Sadly, the state of UK roads invariably leads to stop/start traffic where I don't want ASS but I do want to coast.

I'm quite happy with the stop/start function in my Macan, it's almost imperceptible. That's in stark contrast to the stop/start in my old Freelander, which shakes the whole car when it restarts, so I always disable it before driving.

The stop/start on my previous MB C250d rarely worked during the 5 years I had it. I'm still getting used to the system on my Macan as it's so smooth and imperceptible.

Double checked today....when in 7th gear, pull both paddles simultaneously and with no accelerator pressure....and my Macan is coasting. The rev counter drops to 750 rpm.

Isn’t that just putting it into neutral manually? This is a trick to override the rev limiter when stationary on a 911 🤔
