Sat Nav Update

Hi

I believe there is an update for my sat nav in my 2015 macan S, I think it has the 3.1 version, never been updated from new, how do I do this? Someone said it is covered under warranty??

Can't see it being a warranty cover on a 2015. Have you got carplay? If so, Google Maps updates automatically. Personally, I find the in-car system a bit clunky.

It will definitely not be something that is covered by warranty unfortunately, even an extended warranty!

I would google north east vag adaptions or check the macan uk facebook group as there are a few people on their that have used a number of different suppliers and see what they can do for you - a lot cheaper and quicker service than the dealer.
I used them on my wife's car and had no issues at all.

Sorry, just to add - I assume that you mean a map update here and not a PCM firmware update - although I think North East vag might be able to do this as well?

Car Play only became available with version 4, it was not on my 2015 model SD although Sat Nav was.

Ask an OPC on the price to update, just be sure you are sat down when they respond.

When I purchased my new SD, I was told Sat Nav would be updated FOC, while under warranty. But when it came to the update the thing, times have changed and would now be a cost. One dealer quoted £250, while one would do it for free.
Have a shop around and get quotes from different OPC's.

Subscribe to the Connect+ system at c£139 and as well as live traffic etc, maps should be available to update.

At least that is what the blurb says, yet despite subscribing my system is not updating the maps.

^^^^ Over the Air (OTA) updates only available on cars with Connect Plus hardware fitted.

Also had a OTA map up date last Tuesday. Took quite a long time to down load during an hour's drive.
