I think Bluenose is right. However I only ever set mine by moving the lever away from me. Haven’t ever used that button.
I guess this would mean cars with ACC don’t have the speed limiter.

I just leave mine on permanently. I guess a permanent off button is a good idea.

But YOU set the maximum speed when you engage the ACC, isn't that the same effing thing? If this is the level of familiarity of folk who actually have it no wonder some others think its the worst thing ever invented.

Don't agree, that it forces anything. ACC engaged, you can press the accelerator, true the car won't stop you at any specific speed, are you saying the MB does?

Yes, if the speed limiter is set to let’s say 50, no matter how hard you press the accelerator pedal the car will not go above 50. Excellent in average speed zones etc.

With ACC engaged you can depress the accelerator and exceed the set speed. With the speed limiter it will only allow you to go up to the set speed (ignoring kickdown). If you remove your foot with SL you will slow to a stop. ACC obviously you will carry on at the set speed
