Why the GTS ? An S is plenty enough for most. The Gen 3 S has the engine from the Gen 2 GTS so some of the performance top trumps games are irrelevant. I prefer the more understated appearance of the S.

A new Gen 3 S starts at £60k so if you can manage with a small number of options it’s very cost-efficient compared to a 2 year old Gen 2 GTS, for example.

I have the standard 8-way seats with alcantara inserts and am happy with them. Playing in the current configurator the 8-way and 14-way look exactly the same appearance-wise. Obviously the 14-way has more adjustments but do they make much of a difference when it seems to be the same seat ?

When you add the 14 ways you get both driver and passenger memory settings which was one of the drivers for me ;)

You also get a bit more leather I believe, although I did add the leather pack on top.

There is an option to turn proximity sensing off.
I struggle with the manual, ask bennachi, so can you point that bit out? My masterclass advised that the console has to have the plastic depressed to operate the functions, to avoid "accidents".
Yes the console doesn't seem to have a proximity sensor but if it does respond without touching then this should turn it off

GTS mk 1 with Porsche Service history and extended warranty is a great combination of style, driver fun, desirability and value. The engine sounds fantastic and as long as it has been cared for, you won't have any problems. I've had mine from new since 2017 and it has been perfect for the family whilst still being a thrill to get into and drive.
But you won't be disappointed whatever your budgeting for whether Mk1 , mk2 or mk3.

Just had a play with this (it was/is on in my car) so agreed, it only operates on the PCM touchscreen not the centre console switches.

Next is to figure out the "Display brightness/screen offset" so far Manual no help. bennachie, can you give me the page number? :D

Yes I also find the German to English translations quite strange at times.

I’d go with MK2 GTS out of those options (MK3 GTS for me is the best macan I’ve owned and driven. But appreciate budget won’t extend).

You can pick one up for £55k from Porsche, 2020 plate, 30k miles in crayon :)

MK1 GTS looks great but starting to age, and for the slightly more money I’d prefer to go into the MK2 newer shape.

Although some have said think about an MK3 S with a light spec, I’d much rather have a MK2 GTS over a lightly specced MK3 S.

Both our 14-ways came with memory electric steering column. Is that standard too?

...and with the 18-ways?

For that money you could get a gen3 S, which has exactly the same engine producing the same amount of power but it would be a 21/22 plate with half the mileage of the one you listed above. Seems a no brainier to me - if it makes folks feel better you can get a magnetic G and T on eBay for about £5….

OP states he wants a GTS and that’s his personal preference. Your last comment here is really not at all helpful and somewhat immature. Get a grip. 😏
