I know the government had promised to force petrol retailers to publish price data electronically next year and that can't happen soon enough as far as I'm concerned. In the meantime though I've determined that in my locality I can get my preferred ESSO Supreme from several retailers: Tesco, Rontec and EG Garages. The first two always seem competitive, only a penny between them and about 5p up on the basic unleaded cost. EG by contrast (my closest) charge a 10p premium over the cooking version and frequently have pretty tatty sites.
As I long ago gave up on Petrolprices.com as purveyors of misinformation and the cars inbuilt app isn't a lot better I was recently pleased to find this:
https://www.rontec-servicestations.co.uk/
It'll show you several brands, in case you don't have the PCGB 6p off fuelcard, and lists lots of info including recent prices for all variations!

I tried this for my local area as it’s potentially a useful site and it works very well in the sense that the information seems up to date. However, I have an Esso fuel card and in my area there are at least 4 Esso stations but it doesn’t show any of them, only one 5 miles away that’s operated by Rontec. Provided anyone using the web site knows its limitations the information it shows can be useful.

We use Costco premium as it’s quite close to us. I noticed that Sainsbury’s normal unleaded was £147.9 and we pay £146.9 for premium. An all too rare “little win” 😊

Unfortunately of no use to me as the nearest listed is 81 miles away. :o :(

Petrolprices app works well here and gives me reliable prices at 4 x Shell stations for V-power within 8 miles. :) ;)

I use Costco whenever passing by. Noticed it’s 97 whereas shell is 99. Don’t think it really matters though.

I use petrol map, sends regular updates via email on local garage prices including supermarkets.

I generally use shell V power, 2 outlets close by.
