My Gentian with chrome always gets the same comment " I love the colour" even a good friend of mine whose car collection of various AMG coupes S class and a Ferrari is now trying to source a GTS in Gentian. Not quite as bad as black to keep clean, bonnet and sides are fine but the rear end collects dust and grime like a magnet , probably the same for all Macans.

I might yet change to Gentian & chrome. The S currently for sale certainly looks good: https://macanforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=13981

My Gentian & chrome is in the "members gallery" , taken when clean on a sunny day. The colour reproduced in the photos is lighter than the actual colour.

Have you had any problems with the chrome discolouring?

I didn't in 42 months and 39k miles, had it happened it would be cheaper to replace than the black (I imagine!) we are often dipped into thinking if it costs more its better, but that's not always true. :D In 4+ years reading thus forum there have been more issues with black trim than chrome...... and I've gone with black. That is, however, with Dolomite NOT gentian.

I am 7 years into Turbo ownership and no issues with the bright window surrounds or the bright roof rails discolouring.

Only issue is the bright exhausts, it is easier to remove them to polish them up than to try to do it itsitu.

I gave up trying to polish my 981 exhaust tips. They're now a lovely matt black.

Powder coated... by the exhaust.

I actually prefer that used look on the exhaust pipes. I have the standard pipes on my S which are actually remarkably clean but have that slightly heated metal look which just reiterates that they are genuine and not molded plastic fakes that so many cars have, including a few EVs 😉
