I have just put a deposit down on a 2020 GTS Macan, it has the compass in the front dash which I believed to be the 'chrono pack', having read recent posts starting to think that this is not the case as that has a different dial.

Does the SPORT PLUS mode come as standard on the 2020 GTS as I really wanted this option and thought the dash in the centre console was the give-away it had it, this is also the 'launch mode 'activation option or have I got that wrong?

So many tell me the Sports+ is an essential for the Macan, apparently its known as the PORSCHE BUTTON!

Can anyone help, its supposed to be arriving on Thursday !!!

Sports chrono is a twist knob on the steering wheel. The dial you’re talking sbout indicates the car doesn’t have sports chrono.

Does this mean it doesn't have launch control and won't get those pops and crackles in the exhaust note, as drove a demo car in 'Sports Plus' and it was just a completely different car than the standard drive mode.

I know the SC package with the mode switch on the steering wheel is standard on a Gen3 GTS, surely it was also standard on a Gen2 as well? If you are in doubt just give your SE a call.

Sport Chrono Package including mode switch [8LH] was an optional extra on the Gen2 GTS costing £804 in 2020.

Sports Chrono was an additional cost item with a Gen 2 GTS (8LH at£804 +vat). The Sports exhaust is standard and you can still select sport mode. Think you may be missing the dial on the steering wheel? I have SC on mine, never used launch control as its a gimmick, same with Sport Plus, just far to aggressive for any length of time. I use the 20 second boost occasionally just because it’s there and I don’t think you’ll have that option. But really just floor it in Sports and it’ll throw you back in the seat, only sport needed for some pops and crackles and you will still get that, but even with PSE it’s no 911, so don’t be disappointed.

Stupid question, but can I get this option fitted as an ‘after production’ or is this something that needed to be done on production, as really wanted the sports + option.

Look on the Porsche Tequipment website, it list all their official accessories and after market fitments that can be added to any Porsche. Simply search by model and variant.

As Col states, check it out although other than a software mod any physical change usually comes at a hefty price? Have a word with your SE before delivery. Did notice on your opening comment below.

Maybe I’ve been napping but never ( in eight years) read that on this site before⁉️
