MK 2 Audi motor - oil condition sensor, short journeys require more frequent changes
Mk 3 Audi Motor and once a year oil change; if you are lucky

My 2 yr service due end July 2024, oil service due end March 2024, will get that done and 2 yr service minus oil change, I ain’t paying for 2 oil changes within 4 months.

Well, what to do, get the service early or ignore the oil message? Just be warned I was in that situation with my first Macan and Hull OPC refused to do the service without changing the oil (again) no idea if this is a common stance but forewarned is forarmed! Sheffield did the 20k service without an oil change.

My local OPC is JCT 600 Newcastle, I bought the car from same group in Teeside , will check with both in the new year.

Porsche Macan Service Intervals
The Porsche Macan maintenance schedule includes oil changes every 10,000 miles or after 1 year, as well as the following maintenance tasks at 40/80/120/160k miles (or at 2, 6, and 10-year intervals if mileage isn't reached):

The car has done 17,000 and is just 3 years old so would expect at least one right????

Now, my reckoning is that if you had your oil changed at 18,000 miles due to the alarm you'd tell your OPC NOT to change it at the 20k service as it's not due until 38k miles (unless the oil alarm goes off before?. Correct?

The alternative, which is what I used to do with my SD, is have the two year service and oil change done early. In my case mind you it was 19k miles and only a month early.

This is interesting. My 992 is showing oil and main at exactly same mileage (another 15,600 miles) as both are timed only.
Obviously the Porsche engines have usage or timed depending on the engine or model?
As Nuclear Nick has advised, I will get an oil change done before this, but interesting that it’s not asking for it in a 911.

Jon, not all Porsche engines have the same service interval. When Simon had his Panamera he regularly used to post that the service interval was 10K miles. I think it's only the Audi based engines (SD and 2.9L) that have the oil condition monitor.

Yes, I did mention once or twice about my Panamera.

I bought it new in the Spring of 2017. It was a Panamera 4 with the 6-cylinder 3.0 engine, which may have been an Audi-derived unit?

I did 17k miles in the year I had it. The first oil change was demanded by the car’s computer after only 10k miles and it looked like it would want new oil again at the (first) 20k mile service.

All this talk of oil and would you believe it, after one quick flash a couple of weeks back, my top up warning appeared yesterday and has remained stubbornly on. That's 2,840 miles sooner than its predecessor for whatever reason. At least this time the car came with the necessary in the boot .

You obviously have not been thrashing it hard enough. A good pasting (once properly warm obviously) results in zero oil consumption after 4/5k miles
