Finally took arrival of my 2020 Macan GTS late last week, delivered from a main dealer, to my horror there is no sign in the maintenance/log book of any oil changes or services.
Presume these have been done and just not stamped, will be calling the dealer first thing to check, but I am right in thinking these cars should have an oil change every year right?
Thanks in advance.
GTS Service / Oil Change
No, wrong. The car adjusts the intervals based on use, short journeys sooner, but the starting point is 20,000 miles, EVEN FOR THE FIRST ONE! You can do it sooner, some do, not sure if that voids the warrantym30ndo wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 9:58 am Finally took arrival of my 2020 Macan GTS late last week, delivered from a main dealer, to my horror there is no sign in the maintenance/log book of any oil changes or services.

I think it’s every 2 years or 20,000 miles, whichever is sooner.m30ndo wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 9:58 am Finally took arrival of my 2020 Macan GTS late last week, delivered from a main dealer, to my horror there is no sign in the maintenance/log book of any oil changes or services.

Some folks change oil every year or 10,000 miles, but that’s in excess of Porsche advice, at least here in the UK.
Congrats on the GTS! Pics?
The dealer should easily be able to see the servicing history of your car online.

This was from Porsche....
Porsche Macan Service Intervals
The Porsche Macan maintenance schedule includes oil changes every 10,000 miles or after 1 year, as well as the following maintenance tasks at 40/80/120/160k miles (or at 2, 6, and 10-year intervals if mileage isn't reached):
The car has done 17,000 and is just 3 years old so would expect at least one right????

When is the car calling for the next service and oil change (in the PCM)?

If the service book isn't stamped, get a copy of the invoice for future resale. We did this before buying our S as a major service had been marked 'minor' on the Porsche system.
Without a physical copy of the invoice, showing it was a major, we would have walked away as the history would be incorrect forever. The system cannot be altered.
I'm unaware of the 1 year service intervals. Thought it was 2yrs or 20,000 miles whichever sooner.

Do you have the MyPorsche app? If you do and it's connected to your GTS, then it will tell you the month the next oil change and service are due (seperately) and the mileage before they are both due.
It's a variable interval with the oil change with your 2.9 engine. As Neil says, it depends on usage. To prolong it, avoid short journeys where the oil temperature does not get up to 90C.

Is the thought process that they can get more money out of you if the oil and service are 1600 miles apart?
Just had a Google and it seems lots of owners are told "20,000 miles or 2 years between services."
But it also seems that 40,000 major service intervals, apart from brake fluid every 2, would save money? I'm still confused, and the owners manual, on screen manual, or service book don't want to help.
