Cost is £427.77 plus offer of heating and ventilation detox( bacteria and mould etc) for £29 with warranty for 12months. Taken up as I thought you can’t get much for £29 from Porsche!
They'll probably just set off an aerosol detox inside the car. Halfords sell them for £6.
Might cancel that then, will have a look at Halfords,
Cheers 👍

Just seen on the app, it’s telling me I need an oil service in May.

My first thought was that there’s barely any mileage up on it - but that’s probably why. :)

I’ll see if they’ll do it sooner - the PCM black screen has reared its ugly head again - they can look at them both together hopefully :)

Go for some long drives. Book a weekend somewhere 2 hours away, go visit somewhere new. You may find it extends that deadline quite quickly if you start using the car.

Oh cool thank. Was going to get it done before I drive to Ireland, but maybe that’ll do the trick :)

I had the black screen a few weeks before other stuff started misbehaving. You may, like I did, need your battery charging up if you don't use the car very often.
Macans are a bit sensitive to something like that.

First oil service completed today at 3139 miles. Came to £456.29 in the end, £161.50 (inc VAT) of which was for 7.5l of oil. Where are they sourcing it from, Harrods?

The loan car softened the blow though, my first drive in an EV, and what an EV, a 73 plate Taycan GTS Sport Tourismo.
Neck snapping, laugh out loud hyperspace acceleration off the mark. 0-62 in 3.7 (it felt quicker) and a serene, effortless drive. 94% battery charge showed 204 miles range, which should be better.
If the Macan EV is this good I might be tempted.
....Might.

One thing to note, if you're taking your car in and have a loaner booked, they no longer accept the old paper driving licenses for insurance purposes (well my OPC didn't anyway) it's photo cards only.

Your OPC is very, and quite possibly legally, wrong. As long as the licence is valid, and there have been no details change on it since pre-2000, and it has not been replaced with the photo id version, then it is perfectly and legally valid for insurance purposes

I think it's more for ID purposes. They said if I'd brought in my passport they could have gone with that.
I told them I didn't think I'd be flying anywhere today so didn't bring it.

Anyway, I've filled in the online form today to exchange my old pink parchment for a photo card one.
If you input your NI number, your DL number, still have a valid passport number and you can read the other 12 digit number on your existing DL, they use the stored image for your passport and use that for the photo card, so no sitting in the supermarket booth getting photos done.
Cost is £20.

That's interesting, must be relatively new, I looked a while ago, 12+ months, and there was no way to make that swap without a "reason". I'll have another go 👍
