Rust on exhaust tips - warranty?

Hey,

Noticed the below whilst cleaning the car over the weekend:

Image

Note how the weld/tack of the exhaust tip has started to corrode. The two on the other side aren't as bad, but are corroding also.

I don't own a pressure washer and wash my car by hand, so it's unlikely to be that I've blasted off the paint.

Do you think this could be fixed on warranty? I'm aware cars (and exhausts) go rusty, but at less than a year old that feels premature.

Thoughts?

I just have the standard exhaust on my S and don’t see those fittings at all.

Disappointing, but I doubt it would be deemed bad enough to replace on warranty.

No harm in asking!
As an aside, I'm obviously in good company with the block paving cultures and I HAVE got a pressure washer 😀

No go with warranty when my 981 brake calliper bolts went rusty at 2yrs. I lightly sanded, applied rust converter, and then a black permanent marker which I read is a good rust preventative finish. Yes, weird.

6 years on, still looking good.

The first job after picking up my 4 month old ex demo Macan was to clean the ,£660 extra, sport exhaust tips. They hadn't been cleaned since new by the look of them. They had started to show signs of rust on the outside of the welded joints at the rear which was a bit of a surprise.

I think that's more of a 'burn' mark in the flesh. Haven't driven it for a week so it's all dried out at the moment. My exhausts also run very free of carbon compared to Plyphons.

My black GTS tips were replaced under the manufacturer warranty as they were pitting and rusting.
I had them replaced just before the 3 years was up as my OPC told me they aren't covered under the extended warranty.
