I programmed the surround view to the diamond button as soon as I got mine home thanks to this forum and I use it on every drive.

My only gripe with surround view is at night where the down lighting is just so poor to see anything. Porsche need to enhance this system so that it switches over to infra red when there's not enough ambient light around.

One of the first things I did on mine too. After coming to my first width restriction in it a week after collection broke me out in a fever it became a must!!

Go the whole hog and get 18", they will be cheaper initially and again when you come to replace the rubber, may well be more effective in snow too, only saying that as I seem to recall it said that they are narrower, but that needs double checking.

On the Gen 3, 19" are the smallest usable I believe - and to complicate matters you need 8.5J on the front (9.0 J rear) - meaning that you can't use 19" gen 1&2 wheels which were 8.0J front.

You can surely use 8.0J wheels with the appropriate tyres?

I'm not sure why - but apparently not - if you check the Techquipment listing.

Those are just the wheels they're currently offering; this doesn't imply that other wheels won't fit.

Just got a good deal from my UK OPC and replaced my Standard S 20’ wheels with these 19’ Dunlop Winters . They fit well and being 19’ you can fit chains to the rears when needed.

A bit floaty but soak up UK potholes well. Narrower all round so less likely to aquaplane as well as better stopping distance on roads sub 7 degrees.

Even the most ham fisted driver would struggle to kerb them!

But I have the GT Design ones on my GTS, and I'd say very. Indeed I slightly kerbed one of the rear ones within a couple of days of getting the car, going through that work of the devil known as our local width restrictor. I hadn't quite appreciated that despite being the same length as my old car, the Macan is a fair chunk wider, and I just caught the rear wheel on the rather vicious kerb as I exited the width restrictor.

It's only a slight scuff to the outer rim, but it shows up bright silver against the satin platinum finish and is on the driver's side of the car.

Does anyone know how to quickly activate the surround view camera if it doesn't self-start - is there a quick press button anywhere?

You mean the diamond cut button?
