Hi all ... My car has now done just over 100k miles ... and I still enjoy every drive .. very few problems worst being the cracked door handles !
So over the past year or so i notice the gloss black painted "panels " between the front and rear windows are basically starting to fade and almost peel ... is this a common thing ? Once I return from holidays i will investigate getting them repainted ... any thoughts or comments ?

Good to see your Macan with a reasonable mileage :D

Have you tried various types of polish to see if that helps?

Peter, they aren't painted, they are pieces of plastic trim and can be replaced. YouTube has a video of it being done.
This may help too: https://www.macanforum.com/search/77016 ... =relevance

Yes, if you are referring to the piece at the door edges they are plastic and replaceable. Polish may clean them up a little but I doubt much. Sounds like UV fading (they are 10 years old after all)

That’s the B pillar trim panels, they won’t polish up but they can be replaced, although directly from Porsche they are not cheap. You could get them professionally wrapped. Ali Express have some very economical “stick on’s” 🤔 maybe worth a try?

That's what I would do on a 10 year old car. And if it looks crap you are no worse off than when you started (aside from a tenner), peel them off and go for a plan B
